[This is a process, Pitou, and they're going to have to wait for Cloud to finish the job properly.]

You probably shouldn't drink all that coffee so fast anyway.

[playdolls]

Coffee is my one true love after cats.

[ Their tone is so dry. Don’t police their coffee habit. ]

How do you not have trouble falling asleep at night?

[No. Policing.]

[playdolls]

Sleep is highly overrated, I have too many things to do.

[embraves]

Yeah, like what?

[Eventually, though, he'll straighten; this heralds the fact that he's probably done, and now the engine just needs to be started just to make sure it's all working properly.]

Moving cats around?

[playdolls]

Crafting, sewing, volunteering, working, martial arts, research, socializing. I’m very busy.

[ Too busy listing their busy activities to notice he’s done... ]

Martial arts, too? You're pretty well-rounded, aren't you.

[But he gestures at the entrance to the van, with a short jerk of the thumb.]

Start it up. See if everything runs okay.

[playdolls]

Ah!

[ They stir excitedly, going to climb back into the van. Let's give it a rev!!!!!! They give a delighted squawk when the van rumbles back to life. ]

At last!

[embraves]

[Cloud sounds satisfied, though mostly because he's glad it's working and that the cats (and Pitou) don't have to freeze out here to death.]

Ta-da.

[A little wry, but he's smiling somewhat.]

[playdolls]

[ Pitou flits out of the van, right up to him and grabs his face, planting a kiss right on his mouth. Then they've flitted off to the back to check on the cats, make sure everyone is still secure so that they can get back on with their trip. ]

[Wh-what-

Cloud freezes when Pitou grabs his face, and he's pretty much turned to stone the moment they give him a big ol' kiss on the mouth. Needless to say, the gesture isn't exactly returned, but it's not like he's cognizant enough to pull away -- it all happens so fast, he doesn't even know what to think.]

Uh...

[And whoop, Pitou's already seeing to the cats, as if it were nothing.]

[playdolls]

[ They return from the back of the van quickly enough, cheerfully telling him, ]

I can't pay you by the way.
